Unified Cloud Solutions Rebrand

Unified Cloud Solutions is Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Unified Cloud is a managed IT service provider focused on supporting military, small to medium-sized businesses, nonprofits, and state and local governments. Unified Cloud is an integrated cloud-first provider that specializes in managed SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Azure technologies.

Andy Boyet, the Founder of Unified Cloud Solutions, wanted to rebrand and grow his company. A few key components in doing so included to keep some characteristics of the existing logo, while making it modern, finding a fresh brand identity that played into cloud technology and the military, and creating a website as a home base for Unified Clouds services.

The Unified Cloud Solutions Logo and Logo Lockup is minimalistic and geometric, with application of the primary brand colors. It marries the military background of the company with technological information systems.

The new identity exudes feelings of simplicity, ease and connectivity. The repeating “C” shapes reflects the 3 C’s in the company’s tagline “Integrated cognitive and compute clouds”. While integrating the shape of a cloud, the new marks includes hints of features from the previous logo. The circular shapes offer movement and continuity. The arrows, taking inspiration from the SDVOSB logo presents balance and unity to the logo as a whole.

Color Palette & Typography

Unified Cloud’s colors take use of the fact that we've had a strong relationship with the military and technology. To contrast the integration of dark & light greens, Cloud Blue embraces a lighter feel and catches the essence of the cloud. This paring offers unity and clear representation of Unified Cloud’s brand.

Unified Cloud’s primary brand colors are blue, dark and light green. They are used to provide accessibility, simplicity, and consistency throughout all brand communications. The extended color palette offers complimentary hues to the primary colors. To maintain significance and power, they are used sparingly throughout illustration, photography, and stationary assets.

Unified Cloud’s font is as distinct as we are and as simple to use as we are. It was developed to maximize its impact across all uses while remaining easy to read, own-able, and highly identifiable.

Imagery

Unified Cloud’s illustration style builds off the organic shapes of the logo and the transportation language background of our typeface. Simple shapes, clean lines, limited color, breaking the border, and the use of negative space gives our illustration a branded feel and make it easy to understand.

Unified Cloud’s patterns reflect a modern take on camouflage. It is applied to stationary and digital assets in moderation. The patterns are fluid in creation while providing consistency in combination of patterns and color pairings.

Unified Cloud’s icons & graphics aim to be bold, unified, and hard-working - each specific to the company.

Social Assets & Application

Unified Cloud’s feed on social platforms will showcase quotes, informational copy, photos, etc.

For UCS social banners, camo pattern combined with logo lockup & for profile images use the logo with cloud blue background.

Instagram Feed Templates remain consistent by using coordinating sets of backgrounds/colors, typography and graphic style.

Web Assets & Application

Unified Cloud’s digital assets stay consistent with print but are geared towards the screen. The use simple icons and elements can be seen throughout the website.

Unified Cloud’s website is simple and modern. The use color blocks to split up information within the page and the majority of imagery is graphic based.
