2023 Dutch Bros Holiday Cup Illustrations & Designs
Launching on Nov. 1, Dutch Bros is taking its holiday cup designs to a whole new level. Throwing it back with a minimal 50’s vintage vibe, get ready for the 12 Days of Dutchmas! Inspired by the classic 12 days of Christmas, each cup will tell a piece of a story with Dutch Bros elements incorporated.
The designs this year offer all the holiday colors but in a style that throws it back to the 50’s - giving vintage movie poster vibes. Each design tells a different story and gives a different perspective but they all feel energetic and adventurous, much like the holiday season can be!

In the process of designing our highly-anticipated Holiday Cups for 2023, we faced a multitude of moving parts that demanded careful consideration. Striving to create a set of cups that marries the charm of 50's vintage illustrations and textures with captivating cyber/Y2K elements, I embarked on a journey to craft a collectible collection inspired by the beloved "12 Days of Christmas" while remaining unmistakably Dutch.
Our vision came to life by wholeheartedly embracing the holiday color palette and combining it with a mesmerizing blend of futuristic and classic typographic pairings. Additionally, we adorned the cups with Dutch-branded illustrations while evoking a sense of nostalgia. To enhance the collectible aspect, we ingeniously incorporated a vintage movie-inspired "billing block" on each cup, serving both as a graphic element and an informative piece. The crowning touch came from the inclusion of heavily-influenced Y2K graphics, complementing the overall aesthetic with a touch of contemporary flair. We further emphasized the cups' authenticity by embracing old-school distressed print textures and utilizing offset printing techniques, allowing these cups of holiday cheer to exude an undeniable nostalgic charm.
Our cold cup collection stands proudly alongside its hot counterparts, recounting the heartwarming tale of a yeti celebrating the holidays in diverse climates. For this unique assortment, we utilized the drink color, transforming it into a snow-globe background that seamlessly interacts with the design, inviting customers to revel in the magic of the holiday season.
Lastly, we couldn't forget our littlest customers. The kids' cup collection mirrors the hot cup series, showcasing the yeti hidden within each design as the focal point. Captivating and endearing, these cups evoke a sense of wonder and delight, making them the perfect companion for children as they embark on their own holiday adventures.
